Get ready One Tree Hill fans, your favorite show is returning from its summer hiatus and it’s bringing you a full batch of new episodes for its new season.

At a time when prime time television is at its most competitive, not even the show’s actor’s could have predicted this CW network drama to carry on as long as it has. “I thought we’d be here for nine episodes and then they would send us home”, said Sophia Bush who plays the role of Brooke Davis on One Tree Hill.

Bush’s co-star James Lafferty also did not think he would be residing long in Wilmington, NC, where the show films. “I don’t think I was confident we’d be back for another season”, Lafferty said during the filming of Tree Hill’s first season.

Let’s hope Bush and Lafferty are enjoying life in Wilmington because they have now become locals there as One Tree Hill is set to air its seventh season premiere this Monday. Perhaps the reason why this veteran drama was known very early on as the ‘little show that could’ was because it films in Wilmington and outside of the PR worlds of Los Angeles and New York City, therefore at times receiving much less publicity than its former major rival Fox’s The OC. Maybe that typical big city attention is not always better as The OC was canceled after its fourth season while as Bush noted the former ‘little show that could’ did. “It was incredible because our little ratings that they told us weren’t enough kept growing”, said Bush.

Jordan Russell would have driven even farther for the chance to meet her idol.

The 18-year-old made the five-hour drive from Fredericksburg, Virginia, to Wilmington with her family Saturday to see actress Sophia Bush signing autographs to raise money for a local police memorial.

It was $20 per autographed photo. Russell brought duplicates.

“I look up to her so much,” Russell said. “She’s gorgeous, and she’s an amazing actress.”

Clutching footballs and glossy photos, fans from as far as New York and Tennessee crowded into Independence Mall on Saturday morning, hoping for autographs from their favorite athletes and members of the cast of One Tree Hill.

Sophia attended a Celebrity Autograph Fundraiser on Saturday September 12th.

The actress, spotted here leaving a Hollywood restaurant on September 1, 2009, is the antithesis of the high-maintenance Hollywood blond.

According to celebrity colorist Eva Scrivo, “Depending on skin tone, a rich brunette has the choice between being a warm brown with red under tones, a neutral brown that tends to be more ash, or a brunette with cool under tones which tend to have a base of violet.”

Sophia’s skin has a pink undertone that looks great against her warm red-brown color.

Brooke Davis and Julian Baker are not the only ones hooking up for One Tree Hill season 7. Their real-life counterparts, Sophia Bush, 27, and Austin Nichols, 29, have rekindled their off-screen romance recently, and have taken their affair to the East Coast.

The One Tree Hill couple, who started dating in 2006 and split earlier this year, were spotted last week sharing a cold dessert together at Soho’s Pop Yogurt. They also dined at Georgica Restaurant and Lounge in East Hampton on Friday. And while neither party has confirmed the sweet reunion, an eyewitness told RadarOnline.com that they were very much a couple.

“Sophia and Austin were with their three friends but they may as well have been on their own. They were very affectionate with each other. They were cuddled close together all night, sneaking kisses and acting very loving. There was lots of hand holding and Austin spent much of the night rubbing Sophia’s thigh. There’s no doubting they are together romantically, they look crazy in love and they make a really cute couple! They must really like the restaurant because they came back the next night, just the two of them,” the eyewitness said.
